Malicious act of pig abandonment or gesture of unspeakable kindness to a stranger?
Some unknown person(s) put a pig, or rather the hind quarters of a pig, in the bed of my friend’s truck. This particular pig is cleverly designed to trick the average passerby into thinking that a tiny piglet is half submerged in a hole it has presumably dug in your flowerbed. Curly tail poised for the world to see.
The puzzle here is trying to understand why someone would willingly relinquish such a garden treasure. Perhaps they were looking to be kind and increase their positive karma, or maybe they were being pursued by a would-be pigknapper and decided that perhaps this fella with the truck would treat the piglet better then the knapper. Disgruntled spouse who can’t stand to have one more piece of statuary on their lawn. Who can know?
All I can say is thank you to the mystery pig gifter. Thanks to your selfless act, and my friends good humor, I now have a ridiculous pig’s bottom waiting for me each time I pull into my driveway. And I just know, if he had a mouth, he’d oink at me when I walk by.
There is so much I want to post, show, write, do and be, but it seems like an impossibility to catch up to any of my desires.
But so far today the laundry is spinning and I have cleaned the stove, walked the hood with Audrey, trimmed all of the various plant life that shares my yard with the neighbors, planted a pilfered jade clipping, and watched the antics of my office window spider. He is a little too sturdy and wily to catch practically, and he does not seem to be a direct threat to my life, so I have opted to keep an eye on him until a better solution presents itself.
My second cup of earl grey is taking it toll on my stomach. Why earl? I love you so but you have such acidity for me.
Here’s to gathering the good.

april 25th 2010, the wedding of two of the sweetest people i know.
Jason and Juvey did an amazing job of making their wedding completely them. There was a banana seat bike getaway vehicle, pink ties and grey chucks, retro love song singing during the vows, and the sweetest first dance ever. Choreographed by his sister. And you could tell they practiced the crap outta that dance.
They also had a rad photo booth at the reception. So cool, and somehow everyone looks good in that magical booth. Here is a link to all of the pics so you can see the proof. http://www.politeinpublic.com/event/1907/Jason-and-Juvenia-s-Wedding
The day before, Audrey and I had a delightful and lengthy drive up the coast before turning inland to Livermore where the Garre Winery is located. [pictures to follow] Did I mention lengthy?? We (ok, I) had anticipated about 7 hours…WRONG! Try 11. I was a zombie. Marathon drives are more my thing when I can have the napping portions of the drive while someone else mans the wheel. Unfortunately Audrey is completely useless in the driver’s seat.
I’m in!
Thanks to Tay, I can log into the mish mosh place. Now I can get learning and figuring and writing and posting.

the real ‘mish mosh place’ is a secret that i share only with my sister
the location was a place of many happy childhood hours. exploration, discovery, adventure, mud, bugs, birds and marsh grass
i want more of that in my life again
here is the new place where i look for, gather, and cultivate those things.
maybe not the bugs
what do you do or see or think or know that more of us should understand? please tell me, i’m curious
thanks for reading.
